GA4 Analytics Update
Dear campus partners,
The following is an important update regarding our transition to Google Analytics' new platform, GA4.
As you may know, Google has phased out its Universal Analytics (UA) software and is set to delete all data collected through UA properties on Monday, July 1, 2024. If you wish to retain access to any historical data relevant to your site that is more than 1 year old, please contact us no later than Friday, May 31, 2024, so we can enable access for you to download reports.
Rest assured, all websites hosted on Modern Campus CMS (formerly Omni CMS) have seamlessly transitioned to the GA4 version of Google Analytics. Over the past year, these sites have been actively collecting data, ensuring continuity in your analytics tracking. Moving forward, Google will maintain data for GA4 properties for 14 months.
Please note: Some basic analytics reports for your site are already available in the Modern Campus CMS dashboard. You can access these reports without a Google Analytics account. For more information on accessing these reports, please visit https://websites.it.utah.edu/guides/analytics.php.
